Sometimes the Torah refers to the direction and teaching given by parents, wise persons, or God Himself (Proverbs 1: 8; 3: 1; 13:14; Isaiah 2: 3).
Hebrew has its origin influenced by various Aramaic Semitic root languages (ancestors and derivatives; the same that originated Arabic, for example), in addition to being highly enriched by Babylonian and Phoenician.
Hebrew is a language with almost 30 centuries of written history. Obviously in such a long period the language has undergone processes of linguistic change that make ancient Hebrew and current Hebrew, rather than the same language, can be considered related languages but differing in pronunciation, grammar and lexicon.
